CropX Technologies, a global leader in digital agriculture solutions, has officially announced a product partnership with Reinke Irrigation to refine water management practices for farmers. Leveraging a new innovative solution called Reinke Direct ET™ by CropX, the partners will look to, in practice, achieve field-specific Evapotranspiration (ET) measurements of crop water use. To give you some context, ET values are basically brought in for indicating the total water used by plants, and therefore, evaporated from the soil. Reinke Direct ET™ by CropX makes a major headway in the stated regard through measured, not modeled, field-specific values that don’t ask you to do any extra bit of calculations. Such a mechanism, in turn, is able to help farmers generate daily insights into their field’s water needs, insights that then go on to inform your irrigation decisions on when and how much to irrigate your crop. This not only paves the way for a more effective management of water resources, but it even goes a long way to fulfill the agenda of sustainable farming. Complimenting these objectives further is the solution’s extremely simple installation process, and to go with that, you are also not required to remove the device the season has concluded.
Interestingly enough, alongside the new water management technology, CropX is also launching a new device called Actual ET, which can be installed in any field to measure Actual Evapotranspiration (ETa). Hence, upon being applied in conjunction with CropX soil sensor as part of the CropX agronomic farm management system, it will let growers enjoy the most accurate overview of water-plant usage and soil water availability.
“CropX Technologies is committed to gathering the best data from the field and delivering it to growers to enhance their agronomic management decisions. Precision agriculture is crucial for modern farming. Our collaboration with Reinke Irrigation allows us to deliver practical solutions that help pivot farmers optimize their water usage, while our new Actual ET devices can ensure non-pivot growers can access the same level of detail,” said Tomer Tzach, CEO of CropX Technologies.
But what makes Reinke an ideal candidate for such an effort? Well, the answer resides in its stature as the world’s largest privately held manufacturer of center pivot and lateral move irrigation systems. On this journey, the company has also clocked numerous other milestones, including the time when it became the first player ever to incorporate GPS, satellite-based communications, and touchscreen panel capabilities into mechanized irrigation system management.
As for CropX, it has its excellence rooted in a flagship product called CropX agronomic farm management system. Basically, the stated system can synthesize data from soil to sky to conceive advanced soil and crop intelligence, and joining the same is a suite containing digital agronomic decision and planning tools. This whole value proposition is also relayed through an easy-to-use app interface capable of tracking multiple farms and fields.
“Reinke is renowned for its innovative and practical precision irrigation solutions. Reinke will continue to lead the industry by partnering with CropX to offer actual evapotranspiration data from a farmer’s specific field. With this enhanced insight, farmers can make better decisions at the field level, where it counts the most,” said Chris Roth, President of Reinke Irrigation.
